After doing my presentation I feel really good its out the way. This is my final post!  I have recieved feedback from my tutor about my most recent essay and all I have to do is spell check it. Apart from that I have completed my Bibliography, almost finished my source valuation table and only have a bit more of my log to fill in, then its all ready to present and print off. My presentation is tomorow and I am just adding the fianl touches to it. Its at 11 O' Clock.

I have now finished the slides of my presentation I am just now writing the notes and planning what I will say over each slide. At the minute I'm finding Google Calender perticualary useful.

Today I aswell as carrying on with my presentation I will also add to my Log. Also I have been getting some ideas and inspiration for my presentation from Slide Share website, which my friend was a account with. (http://www.slideshare.net/)

I have finished my second draft and I am happy with it, I will finish my presentation before I send it to my tutor just in case I find out anything intresting I want to add along the way. I am quite nervous and inexperienced with public speaking and powerpoint but Wikihow has two good advice pages on these issues. I have now began to start a source evaluation table for my resources, as well as starting to mast Powerpoint again. I have planned out my intial slides. I have also now booked my presentation for the 21st of this month. As I go through the essay again I will begin to take notes and get ideas for it, once I'm happy with my essay I will start my presentation.

My tutor has responded to my essay and I am going to make the approaite changes to the essay. I will be using her blog to get over essay examples. My main advice was to refer back to my title more in the essay especially in the conclusion, and to turn all my resources into the same format. Today I am adding more quotes in order to get a more presentable first draft to send to my tutor on Sunday. When taking quoatations from the episode I'm using www.simpsons-scripts.wikidot.com to get these. The site offer exact script translations of all the episodes I talk about in my essay.

Today after spending time going back through my essay and adding in notes that I have got over Christmas time I have gone way over the word count and have decided to get rid of the media part of my essay, and instead focus and go in depth with politics and religon. The reasons for this is because the religious and political messages are more sophisticated and more plentiful then those about media.

I have been aiming to by the end of the week inserted all my refrences into the essay and take note of any I use or have used. I have been refrencing this bbc site http://www.bbc.co.uk/cult/simpsons/episodeguide/season5/page3.shtml, which provides short key points on each episode that are good for using as evidence of points made.

In my essay to make it more linear and intrestingI have decided to add bits where neceessary about the historty of the satire and hows its changed and become more volitile and more sophisticated. And I will; make more refrences to social commentary in other media like music, film and literature.

I have just finished my ENTIRE first full draft despite being a bit later then planned. I need my tutor to go through it to see where I could approve and what I need to change.

Although I have used this website before I have found a very insightful essay about Post-modernism and basic satire of American culture in the Simpsons http://www.snpp.com/other/papers/bf.paper.pdf. I will make sure I will refrence any parts that I use in my essay to avoid plagerism.

After reading more Simpson essays and going through my tutors extended project examples I have decided too add more pictures and make my essay more 'well-presented' aswell as to maybe add more parts of my essay talking about post-modernaism in the show.
